3 Year waiting period, is there other options?:"Over the last few days I checked around with friends that are doing and enjoying nursing, male and female. So, I planned to start enrolling somewhere, I call the local community college and there is a 3 YEAR WAIT to even start the program and then 5 semesters of clinicals.
First and foremost, is that common to have a 3 year wait?:

12 Hour Nurse:"Karin, the nurse, has been reading many blogs by co-nurses. One day, in May of '08, she decided to join blogosphere and write a soapbox about her life and experiences. Her posts RN tertaining, RN joyable, RN ergizing (at least she hopes they are) although you may find a few rants here."

Not sure where to post this:"My big thing is I cannot handle anything that has to deal with the mouth...Yes I can't suction a patient without gagging and throwing up..yes as embarrasing as it sounds I have thrown up when I absolutely had no choice but to suction a patient...I don't do well with anything that comes out of the mouth. Another friend of mine can't deal with feet...Call it weird or whatever but we all have them..Dig deep and post the one thing that you absolutely cannot deal with when it comes to your role as a nurse."
