Diebold vs Pyxis vs ?????????:"Just wondering what the rest of the country is using ??? My facility just switched from Diebold to Pyxis. We hate Pyxis but were not included in the decision to switch. We keep reminding ourselves what it was like to count narcotics, keep up with the keys.... Any other systems out there ? Comments ?" http://www.ultimatenurse.com/forum/f5/diebold-vs-pyxis-vs-16635/

Rude Doctors, Nursingdiscussions.com:"Would love to know how some of you handle rude doctors, the ones that think every question is stupid; the ones that use every available opportunity to publicly humiliate. Last week, I had had enough and yelled right back, and the way my co-workers looked at me, I was half expecting to be sacked. It didn't happen, but I wonder if I potentially face valid administrative recrimination for speaking up for myself. Feedback greatly appreciated!" http://www.nursingdiscussions.com/rude/
Does Pink "missundaztand" nurses? , Nursingadvocacy.org:"Missundaztood" dresses Pink's young misfit thing in safe rock and hip-hop styles, and the self-declared un-Britney emerges with a fairly engaging album for bubblegum pop graduates. Unfortunately, the record includes a prominent and troubling reference to nurses." http://www.nursingadvocacy.org
Impaired Nurses, Nursingdiscussions.com:"Hello to all. I am new to this site and I'm so glad to find it. I haven't found a topic though that plagues alot of nurses;which is substance abuse. I became addicted to pain medication while working on an orthopedic floor in 1998 and began diverting pain medication from the hospital. Eventually, (thank God) I was intervened upon and suspended from work pending a psych eval. I went to treatment for a total of 7 months. Now, I am in a state monitoring program that watches me very closely. I am just now getting back into the work force, and it is so hard to tell these potiential employers about my past, even a little embarrassing. I was just wanting some feedback from some others out there? Their experiences? Stories? http://www.nursingdiscussions.com/impaired
